Hey guys!
So as part of my upcoming web show, I’m going to be doing a lot more interactive stuff with the readers of my blog/watchers of my videos and all of you who do both of those things sometimes at the same time.
Here’s what I need you guys to do:
Send me questions! Ask me about anything you want to know or anything you might need help with or advice for. I can’t promise I’m qualified, but I’m usually right about most things, so it won’t hurt.

I'm just going to start updating with your shirts now because, frankly, I can be flakey if I don't stay on track.
Here's Erin:
This is me in my Decemberists shirt. It's my fave for a couple of reasons. I bought it at my first Decemberists show, which was at the Woodland Park Zoo. It was out in a field and everyone brought their blankets and picnic baskets. I went with my best friend, who was just beginning to be my best friend at the time. Too much awesome stuff happened that night to go into detail, but it was definitely one of the nights that made our friendship. The bicycle is the one from Apology Song, which is one of my favorite favorite Decemberist songs. And, finally, it makes my knockers look fantastic while still being extremely comfortable.
And Matt:
i participated in something like this in 2001. it was for iD. my friend matt jones shot a story about peoples' fave ts. embarrassing as it may be-or as the hat positioning may be- it is attached.
Johnson:my friend j penry drew the T graphic- he and i spent a lot of time as teenagers together. the image, somewhat obscured in the pic, is of a reclining male with an erect member. the original text was meant to say 'quit your job and jerk off' or something to that effect- but the manufacturer edit'd it to read simply 'quit your job.' i think that this is a perfect example of good editing... the original text would have been way too ham fisted.----that's all beside the point-or an aside from the point. i like the t-shirt because it is litmus test of what is excepted or ignored. i've worn it all around the city and no one bats an eye. it's like a tombstone 'shock in the city: 1977-2001'... i am sure that if it was a photo, the reaction would be the opposite-or there would at least be a reaction... the power of drawing prevails
SimpleAnswer:My favorite tea has a bear on it. Not just some regular bear but a tricked out bear with gold chains, glasses, and kangaroo hat - Badass Fly Motherfucker. I like to think about a world ruled by bears and at some sort of filled out colliseum, he's dropping some "Love Lockdown" 'cause he ain't no regular bear he's Kanye Westbear. I'm going to be just like you one day, I'm dreaming of the glamour of the blogger lifestyle.
Joe!:There are a couple reasons I love it.
- It's an american apparel shirt. That's the only place I can shop without throwing a tantrum. Everything is plain and simple.
- The design was made by a friend and screen printed by me.
- It makes me seem more artistic than I really am.
- Purple is the best color evar!!!!
Alexis:my girlfriend and I had one of these super-cheezy shirts made at the state fair one summer. I was six months away from finishing college, i was in love, blah blah blah blah... anyway the shirt says "you & me forever." it's hialrious. i swear...
Kyle:ok. so this is my favorite t-shirt. here are my reasons in a convenient list:
- it's v-neck and i find that to be flattering.
- while it has neon components (and me being a big fan of all things neon) it is not so overwhelming that i would get nervous and not wear it, b/c sometimes color makes me nervous.
- not too tight, not too loose
- feathers are luxurious
- NEON
- i'm pretty sure that's it.
Meg:This is a t-shirt I got a long time ago designed by one of my favorite artists, Souther Salazar. It says, "I HOPE I NEVER DIE" and it's a drawing of a monkey listening to great music. Who can't relate? Sadly, I almost never wear it anymore because it's become so small and tight that it gives me this weird, pec-hugging "Let's go to the Abbey, gurl!" vibe that sorta undercuts the poignancy.
Jim:this is my favorite t shirt because its PROVOCATIVE and it has boobs on it.
people often ask me if they are my boobs. i suppose thats part of the reason i initially stole it from the showroom i used to work at. cause who doesnt want star shaped nipples?
Erik:
not gonna lie my fave tee has period blood on it long story, your getting the runner up.
my dad used to own a vintage clothing store and i stole this off the rack in 99. it was autographed by ralph the man himself but has been mostly washed off. ralph stanley did the song from oh brother where art thou, and hes a bluegrass legend. fuck bluegrass, but this shirt is great. im a yuppy now so i mostly wear this shirt when my guys dry and i have to go to GG park to get weed off random hippies. i was not wearing pants when i took this pic with my phone while getting ready. Peace and luck
Mindy:My favorite T-shirt is one I bought
five or so years ago at the X Large store in Silverlake (?), while
visiting from NYC. I love it because (a) I'm a sucker for trompe
l'oeil and (b) because I look like I'd be approachable but this
T-shirt shows what I'm probably thinking. Ironically, it tends to make
people engage with me....My boyfriend is always saying, "I need to get you another one of
those," and I have to try to explain once again that X Large has
probably moved on, even if I haven't.
Sara Liz:This is my fave T, because, just like Chairman Meow, I hope to someday rule all that I survey.
Lorraine:so here's my favorite tshirt. this was easy. i love it because my papa got it when he was my age. He wore it all the time. There's numerous old pictures of him wearing it, including ones of him holding me as a baby. It's pretty worn thin and just about the softest thing ever. and it says SPAM on it. It is one of my few precious possessions and always makes me feel better when i wear it.
I love this shirt because a teenage boy I worked with gave it to me a few years ago for my birthday.even better he was the son of my much hated boss.the kids didn't make a lot of money there but he was beaming when he gave me the shirt.so the fact he spent cash on me on a gift that clearly showed he understood me makes this shirt my fave
Personally, I find this enjoyable. I encourage you to submit yours. I'll keep adding them to this post. Remember to write "MY FAVE T" in the subject line because I'm lazy and just search my G-mail for that particular line when I'm doing things like this.
Send me an email with a picture of you in your favorite t-shirt (subject line: MY FAVE T) and write something about why you <3 it so much. I'll make a whole post dedicated to you guys and your shirts.
