Best Christmas present ever. 

...that's how cool my new sunglasses are. 

My brother and I got our first pairs of Ray Bans last Christmas. I got mine accidentally after I stole a pair off my godfather's face and he let me keep them. This year I asked for a red pair but my step dad ordered the black ones by mistake and I had to exchange them today at the mall. When I rolled up and saw this two-toned hotness, I had to make them mine. 

Getting in to the Christmas spirit or whatever. 

This video was sent to me just now by the talented Max Neutra. I immediately emailed him back with a plea to collaborate with me on a part of The Molls Show that features me working with other artists, just like I have with other people like Slippy on stuff like my final Defamer video and this:

Basically I turn into the biggest dork ever when I go home. Or I keep it really real. Same diff. 

I finally arrived in Boston at 11-something PM after missing my morning flight because 10 extra minutes of sleep, 15 minutes of late cab drivers and 20 minutes of an inconsiderate Persian woman unpacking and repacking her suitcases in front of me at the check-in point when she learned that there was a baggage fee ('parently the bitch lives under a rock cause I showed up with 1 bag and about 200 bucks in cash prepared for the worst. I think everyone I've seen in the last month has mentioned that they charge you for checked bags now. I guess homegirl doesn't get out much... or ever.)

Last night I fell asleep in a Sacramento Kings bed (my step-bros were born in NorCal) with Rockband equipment all around me, knitting and half-watching Real Housewives of OC. All throughout the night I kept half-waking, sure I wasn't at home, but still comfortable because I could feel my little baked potato of a dog curled up on my tummy. 

Today I hung out with my mom. We decided we're going to bake a lot of gifts this year, which is a first for the two of us. My mom ran her own catering business for years, but as Rachael Ray will tell you, cooking and baking are two different animals. I just want to make cookies and put them in cellophane bags with little ribbons on them. 

Anyway, I'm here, I'm safe. I'm trying to get my step-dad and mom to pull it together and get the wireless password (Seriously-- let me stress this: THEY PAY FOR WIRELESS INTERNET AND HAVE FOR OVER A YEAR AND DON'T KNOW THE PASSWORD, RENDERING IT FUCKING USELESS.) I'm going to go eat some homemade beef stew and knit some more. Maybe watch all the Anna Nicole DVDs I brought with me.

Wednesday Alexis, our friend Matt and myself went to get some sushi on Melrose. During dinner Matt's watch broke. :( We still had a ton of fun.

Thursday I went out with Blaire and her ride has these hot pink lights in them. Tigggghttt... We went to Lola's and I got shithoused off of two martinis. Then we called Matt to come hang out cause he was in the area and so we went to his place and played Connect 4 after what as some sort of a bar fight at the Village Idiot.

Friday night I knew we were going to Foxtail for a birthday party. This is the video I made before I left:
We had some fun. I hate those kinda clubs though.

Saturday morning I woke up at my friends house and Alexis and I decided that Saturday was Target day. We had some fun in the kids section.

Saturday night we met up again for a quiet night of garage photo sessions and hookah. Oh, and we ran in to Santa:

OK... So yeah... Next weekend will be much more thrilling when I'm writing to you live from my parents office, pigging out on ham sandwiches and whining about missing my friends.

Last night Ed, his cousin Maureen and I went to a Christmas party in Westwood that our friend Paul was hosting.

Paul and Jason originally recognized Ed at the bar from my old Defamer videos and then every since then we've all kinda kept in touch. Paul was my VH1 friend I was referring to in the MTV video last week. Jason, as a loyal reader of this blog and the one who introduced Paul to Ed and I in the videos, expressed to me last night that it was kinda lame sauce that Paul got an official blog shout out before me. We decided to remedy that.

I'm the angst filled teenage girl who just wants to go listen to the Misfits in her room and write a manifesto about something hip but meaningless, Paul is the desperate housewife, Jason is the dad that works too much and sometimes hits Paul when he's stressed, Ed is the family prize/Fresh Faces of the Burlington Mall Modeling Contest Winner (Well, first runner up... but still, he's got bigger and better plans than the rest of us.)

It was a great night with good friends that I followed up with The Midnight Show at UCB. The show ran on the long side, but there were some of the smartest sketches I've seen in awhile, which is what really stands out when you're watching comedy at a local comedy theater. You don't expect to get something that's totally polished, but it's a chance to look in to some new whacky, intelligent shit that you don't usually run in to these days.  I'll probably update with pictures and stuff from that later, but if not, just know that if you're in LA and you like laughing a whole lot for only five dollars, you should check out the show one of these months on the first Saturday of the month.

If you sent me your address asking for a card, your card is in the pile that I'm holding. That means it's coming soon. There's no return address going on the envelopes, so if you only requested a card so you had an easier way to try and kill me, good fucking luck and Happy New Year to you, too.

Here's my favorite holiday song right now, if I had to pick one. I kind of hate holiday music.

OK, that's just a fucking lie. I love it.

I only have about 20 cards left to designate to readers (the rest have to go to my family and business-related contacts) but they all have to go out this year because there's a 2009 reference, so email me if you want one. Make sure to include your actual physical address, as I cannot send snail mail through the internet.

I'm good, but I'm hardly that good.
